From today's Financial Times:
The UK government has written to some of Britains biggest banks urging them to explore ways of helping hard-pressed customers who turn to payday lenders in a move to stem spiralling levels of debt.
A letter from the Treasury has been sent in recent weeks to a number of high street lenders and the British Bankers Association asking them to raise awareness of their services to help customers who might otherwise seek finance from a payday lender.
I picked the wrong day to give up glue-sniffing.
