Parking Eye

dimanche 22 mars 2015

Hi, my girlfriend has received a parking charge notice issued on 18/3/15 from Private Eye Ltd.

I borrowed her car on 1/3/15 to go to the local gym in Blackburn

Upon entering the gym, you have to register the car registration, which on this occasion I forgot.

I was parked there for 1hr 30mins and the limit is 1hr

The charge is £100 but if I pay within 14 days it will be £60

What do I do?

I received a parking charge notice dated 16.6.13 for going over my time in their car park, which was free for the first two hours. I think I was over by only a few minutes no more than half hr which would have cost me under £2 to park there for that extra half hr. The latest letter I received in relation to this matter is from Debt Recovery Plus (DRP) dated 20.2.15 notice of intended enforcement - unpaid county court judgment £215. They have stated that if I do not pay £215 then they will advise parking eye to apply for a warrant of control to instruct an enforcement agent (bailiff) to collect payment from me. Can u please advise me on the same and what my rights are and whether they can recover the money? I have drafted a letter to them asking them to give me my day in court asking them to demonstrate that there was a contract, that they are entitled to receive the money (£215), that it isn't a penalty and finally that what they have asked for is a genuine pre-estimated loss. I haven't sent the letter yet, I have been informed by DRP that I have until the 6.3.15 to pay it. Please advise. Many thanks.

New here and looking for help please

Background,

I am a sub contractor courier driver for a national courier firm,

The van I drive (I am the only driver) is leased via a third party,

The third party has received a PCN from parking eye, and passed it on to me to deal with, stating deal with it or I will pay it and dock it from your payments,

the leasing company have already invoked a £30 handling fee for passing on details of who leases the vehicle to parking eye.

On the date and time of the claimed infringement I was delivering 15 parcels to the company whose car park this was, I was there for 10 minutes, I can provide a copy of my delivery schedule for that day, which clearly shows I was delivering there that date, but not at what time.

If this ticket was in my name I would just appeal it, stating the above facts, however as the third party has washed his hand of it as stated above (the PCN is in his name)

I am unsure how to proceed, also if I do appeal and win, can I also try and claim the incurred £30 charged by the leasing company from parking eye?

The courier company have told me I can state in any appeal that until this charge is cancelled and I have a written assurance this will not happen again, that the company concerned will not receive any further deliveries from us,

Should I state that in my appeal at this stage?

Any advice gratefully accepted.

Thank you

Leigh

Hi. I myself received a PCN from parkingeye. After listening to people claiming this company cant charge you, i decided to ignore the letters they sent to me. I have no received a 'LETTER BEFORE COUNTY COURT CLAIM'. I am wondering what to do now, as i obviously do not want court action. Any advice appreciated.

I today received a PCN from parking eye .I was a little over the 2 hours in a supermarket carpark .

I'm appealing and have sent off with the email proof of till receipt for the supermarket and proof of my Disabilities and mobility problems as to why it takes me longer then others to walk and get about .

What do you think my chances are of getting this overturned ? I only accepted I was the registered keeper and not the driver .

Thanks in advance for those that take the time to read and reply

Hi everyone

This is my first post and I've got a big ask.

We have received a court claim from Parking Eye and acknowledged it via MCOL online and it's been allocated to our local court. Yesterday we recieved a date for hearing of March 29th. Papers as to be in by 5th March to courts and parking eye. This is where I will come undone as I haven't got a clue. I know it's a big ask but how do i write a defence good enough to submit to the courts.

This is my first post here. Parking eye have sent a £100 parking charge.

The background is that I parked in a pub car park for 23 minutes, just time to have an orange juice, wish friends a happy Christmas and leave. I was under the illusion that as a pub car park it was safe to park there as I was a paying customer and there is a sign which states that the car park is for pub patrons only. I met six friends who can all verify that I parked and was in the pub.

I have never been in this pub before and went back to the pub to enquire about the charge but they didn't sem very helpful.

I have appealed to Parking Eye. The registered owner of the car is my husband and I admitted that I was the driver.....on reading this forum I don't think I should have done that. Have I made a mistake?

Hi

I have received a Parking Charge Notice through the post for a parking charge from Parking Eye relating to a car park at the Royal Free Hospital in Hampstead London. Entry time being 3.30am and exit time 7.06am on the 3/12/2014. The car registration is visible from their entry and exit camera.

The main reason for contacting you is that I live in Warwickshire which is 120 miles away and I have not been to London in over 14 years and cannot possibly understand how they can have got my registration details on camera.

Has anyone come across this situation before as I am worried that I am now going to have to pay a fine for something that I have not done.

Please can anyone advise on what my next move should be.

Many thanks

Good Afternoon.

First, many thanks for providing this advice and guidance.

I have, today, received a Parking Charge Notice from ParkingEye, requesting £100 discounted to £60 if paid within 28 days of date issued.

The background to this is that on the 20th October I parked at 8:54am on the car park of a retail park in Telford (that I am now informed is private land). I visited Maplins on that retail park and made a small purchase then walked over a pedestrian footbridge to an adjacent retail park for an eye test. Due to recent problems with my right eye this took much longer than I had anticipated. I left the car park at 12:20, exceeding the permitted free time of 3 hours.

There is no charge for the first 3 hours and there are no ticket machines of any kind. I haven't been back to take notice of the wording on any sign-age etc. (yet).

I do not have the receipt for the Maplins purchase but I do have a credit card statement showing a payment for new glasses on that date.

Do you think I have a reasonable basis for appeal?

Thanks in anticipation.

Stuart

the parking cowboy`s seem to have really gone faceless now, gone are the day`s when you watched eagle eyed for the parking attendant in the supermarket car park to come around so you could jump in your car and scarper quick-sticks, now they`ve gone all high tech with their fancy anpr, i thought it was just the cop`s who where able to get your info using that method, dirty cheats, ca`nt do the right way, so they use underarm tactic, by golly it stink`s.

anyway went to morrisons stayed about 20-25 mins over and for the privilege of doing a large shop, your blackeye anpr want £85.00 for that privilege, ho and they must be having a sale because they have said in their letter, yes i was excited, they will knock me £35.00 off, yes, £35.00, you do`nt get many discount`s like that at debanhams or M&S for instance, right, took it in to morrisons really calm did`nt raise my voice once saw manager (top bloke) he took it off me, luckily i had my receipt so i suppose he could quickly check on instore CCTV, when he came back he said it is a one time only they will cancel it for me and they will pay £25.00 to the droopy-eye anpr people i have to call them to let them know that morrisons did me a company form: pecan parkingeye cancellations, he did remind me it was a one time only and i shook his hand and thanked him very much, but how do they get to pay them £25.00, i never asked although i wanted to but i did`nt want to push my luck, makes you wonder though, hope it can help anyone else in the same boat, just remember do`nt go in gun`s blazing, won £127 on the lottery lastnight could`nt believe my luck, so, came up smelling of rose`s all in one day RESULT.:tea:

Help I fell foul of Parking Eye on 08/10 14 at Parc Llandudno. I didn't realise that parking was to be paid for {out of towner on a 2 day break !) where I come from that sort of shopping park would be free. The friend I was with is disabled and finds it difficult to hurry. I cant dispute I am in the wrong in their eyes but a hefty charge of £85 or £50 if paid P D Q is not acceptable. A lot of posts on this company are not very recent and advise non payment, is this still the case? Or should I send them £20 and hope they accept it. Views please
