I have returned from holiday Tuesday to a letter from Mortimer Clark threatening legal action for a debt to JD Williams which has been assigned to Cabot Financial. Then, yesterday I had the court summons claim form from
Northampton (very quick work).
It states the credit agreement was 13/4/2007. The amount they are stating is not even what my original account credit limit was for.
I have not made any payments, or acknowledged this debt to cabot. I also can't recall making any payments to this account in the last 5 years.
I have been online and acknowledged the receipt of this today and I am going to defend it. (give it a good go anyway).
I need some guidance on who I should be addressing next, I also wonder if I should contact JD Williams to ask about last date of payment etc....any guidance would be gratefully recieved:tinysmile_eyebrow_t
