Can anyone give me any advice on the following matter.
Back on July 11th i stepped down from my current position as shift supervisor and demoted myself back down to a yard operative due to work related stress which resulted in me being off work for 11 week and 2 days.
During my time off i had no communication from my employer stating that they accept and acknowledge my demotion and throughout my time off on sick i was still being payed as a supervisor.
i returned to work on the 27th September. The day before ( 26th ) i had a meeting with HR and my Operations manager. Where they discussed my demoting and accepted it for the 1st time.
i have now been back at work for over 2 weeks and am still waiting for my new contract to show my change of job title.
Then today i recieved a letter from payroll, stating i have been over payed by £806 and they want to reclaim £67 a week back from me for 12 weeks
Can they do that as nothing formal has been done to change my job title.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
