In summary, the fraudsters have taken a legitimate Pistonheads advert for a 911 priced at £49,500
and have listed it on eBay (using a hacked eBay Dealer Account) and priced it at £19,500
How does it work?
You make an enquiry via eBay
As the eBay account has been taken over (hijacked),
any internal email goes to the fraudsters
Viewing is denied and excuses given
Instead you're offered free delivery within 2/3 days
You're given 7 days to change your mind / full refund
You make full payment into a UK bank account (usually)
The transaction is endorsed/protected by eBay/PayPal - but it's not
Once your payment has gone.......it's gone. You'll never see it again
The telephone numbers are correct - the fraudsters have not amended them
Correct landline phone numbers for this company : 01604 636760 or 01604 633624
Internal email enquiries (i.e. using the eBay mail system) go to the fraudsters
The email address shown in the scam listing is correct (" Business seller information ")
