I had a fine from portsmouth magistrates court I did miss a few payments had family problems but months ago I received a letter from them to say I owed even more money as they put fees on as you al know.
when I received the letter I phoned to say it was being deducted from my benefit each week I sent the proof by recorded delivery and never heard a thing after
until at 9 olock in the morning a rather agressive and intimidating man knocked the door for the total which is now £500 I was told that I had two hours to get the money or he was coming back
I tried to explain that if they informed me the payments had stopped I would have sorted it,to which he.replied it's not down to him to do it
I could not raise the money and was scared he did come back but I ignored him.
I actually phoned the police to see what my rites were and was told it's illegal for him to be doing this I got a letter on way from the benefits agency to prove it is.getting paid and if I felt afaid I should call 999.
