Parking Eye PCN

jeudi 5 février 2015

Hi,

I have just received a PCN from Parking Eye.

The driver bought a ticket to park for 6 hours but overstayed by 54 minutes.

The PCN is for £100 or £60 if paid early.

Can I appeal on the grounds that this amount is unfair? If so is there a template appeals letter available?

thank you

Hi. I'm a newbie here and tried to read as many threads as possible before I posted to see if if my question was answered!!!

my husband went to an Argos store on 28/11/14 (Black Friday) the car park was extremely busy and it took over half an hour before he got somewhere to park. He didn't realise it was a car park with the number plate recognition system and that you only got an hour from entering. We always thought it was an hour from when you park as that is what it's always been in the past!!! Anyway he only went to the one shop and I have the receipt to prove he paid at 13.06. He drove into the car park at 12.26, paid in Argos at 13.06 and left the car park at 13.46. Now my question is can I appeal this? Firstly I wasn't driving the vehicle but I am the registered keeper so do I tell them my husband was driving and secondly the incident happened on 28/11/14 but they only issued the charge notice on 9/1/15 can they take this long to issue it? Sorry for the questions and hope they make sense!!

Katie

I'm in pretty much the same situation as DeeTee with Parking Eye cameras taking photos on entrance and exit of Rheidol Retail Park, Aberystwyth.

However both occupants of the vehicle are disabled. There were no disabled bays available on first entering and time was spent waiting for another disabled driver to vacate a suitable space. A valid Blue Disabled Badge was displayed in the vehicle whilst parked.

The date of the alleged "event" was 24/11/2014, date of issue is 29/11/2014, but date of delivery to me is today 10/12/14. The Parking Charge Notice claims that the maximum free stay is 2hrs but the vehicle was in the park for 2hrs 55min.

I know the occupants shopped in 4 of the shops in the complex but only 1 receipt has been found. Very few people would think to keep receipts for food for this length of time, once food has been consumed.

I live a 4hr drive away so cannot check the signage for further details. I would be interested to know if there are exclusions for disabled users, does the sign state "park for 2 hrs" or "stay for 2hrs", if they have exceeded the time constraints for send this notice and how can I go about challeging it's validity. Any help or advice would be much appreciated please.

Hi all,

Need some sound advise re-a PCN from Parking Eye. On the 24th Sept my husband had to take me to South Tyneside Hospital for an early morning blood test, but because I have a long term illness which regularly makes me feel drained and unable to walk far, and also I am needing a new hip due to arthritis, I just could not handle walking too far on that morning. Because of this my husband had to park within the hospital grounds, where on other times he would park outside. This being explained, the nearest place to the hospital entrance is a "Free for 20minutes" space which was empty and we used, however because the blood department was running late my husband overstayed by 12mins, as he did not want to go further away because of my medical situation. Anyway I received a PCN form Parking Eye for £40, however I appealed to them but as yet they are not interested, could someone tell me what I should do. Thanks in anticipation. Linda A
