best way of dealing with Lowell

Hey,



I have just looked at my credit file and seen that some of the debts I accrued many years ago during a bad patch has been purchased by Lowell, I can't remember what these are for and there is no notes on the experian credit files to say what they are.



Whats the best way of dealing with Lowell as I have heard they purchased old debts and can sometimes chase debts that are statute barred or record incorrect default dates ?



Can anyone give me some advise please ?



Looking at sorting my credit file out and dealing with any debts that are valid but have heard about the "underhanded" tactics that some DCA's apply.
