Hi, I received a letter 2 weeks ago from Rossendales it was an enforcement letter which they have charged me £75 for. It was relating to an unpaid council tax bill from a previous address. I have written to the council explaining that I have rent arrears and council tax arrears with my new council and enclosed photocopies of the arrears and my jsa. I also asked them to take the debt back and wrote to Rossendales to explain the situation too. Today I have received another threatening letter from Rossendales saying if I dont contact them they will be calling out and charing me another £250. The letter states that I have to deal with them directly and not the council and have enclosed an income and expenditure form. Last week I started to pay the council direct and now I'm confused...who should I pay? Should I send this form back to Rossendales or carry on paying the council? I haven't received anything back from the council regarding my letter.
