I have read with interest posts on Santander transferred debts to the above Jersey registered company. MCOL states claimant must have a UK address to use the service; does this mean using a UK solicitor such as Howard Cowen fulfils this requirement?
Or must the claimant have a registered address in the UK?
Obviously, a CCA 1974 claim can only be heard in a UK court, but does the UK County Court have jurisdiction if the claimant is a Jersey registered Business?
EU laws and agreements do not apply, is there something in UK law that allows a Jersey registered company to sue a UK resident in the county courts?
