Dear all LB members and visitors,
As things begin to settle down for the holidays we would like to wish you a very Happy Christmas and all the very best for 2015.
Thank you to everyone for all your support over the past year. It is very much appreciated.
We would particularly like to thank the many regular contributors who give up their time to share their knowledge and experience in helping others.
2014 has been our busiest and most successful ever. Weve attracted nearly 2 million unique visitors to the site and welcomed almost 14,000 new members to the forum. We have seen some great work going on across the range of issues we cover and some significant results in the courts, improving the landscape for consumers in the future.
In the County Courts Foster-Burnell v Lloyds was the first successful unfair bank charges case in years and Grace v Black Horse set a precedent in the Court of Appeal that banks can no longer register defaults on a credit file if the credit agreement has already been judged unenforceable. We'd particularly like to thank all our site visitors who donated to the transcript fund, without which the outcome in that case would not have been possible.
Weve seen scores of statutory demands set aside and countless parking charges challenged. Weve dealt with hundreds of speculative claims from debt collectors which have been poorly constructed and lacking documentation.
There has been major progress in exposing online scams and weve established valuable working relationships with various authorities and agencies.
Beagles have enjoyed extensive media coverage this year highlighting many of the issues our members have faced.
We expect the forum to quieten down over the holiday period and although the team and contributors wont be around as much as usual, if you have an urgent issue that needs attention please email admin@legalbeagles.info with a link to your post giving as much detail as possible and someone will try and follow up as soon as possible.
Otherwise we hope to see you all in the New Year . We hope 2015 will see our community and website go from strength to strength enabling us to empower and inform many, many more consumers.
Best wishes, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone.
