Loan scam

My grandson applied for a loan and was asked to pay some money first, not sure of the whole amount but he has had amounts taken out of his bank around £900, all within a few days. i have no idea why he chose this particular company, but its obviously a scam, they were goping to find him smeone who would let him have a large loan to buy a motorhome, the name that is shown on his bank account is "miss Linda? he has tried to get back in touch but cant find the original company
