My late father's Will is being dealt with by a solicitor and is nearing finalisation. There are 3 residuary beneficiaries, including myself, who are all due an equal share (obviously) of any remaining money.
Once the Executors have signed and returned the Final Estate Accounts, is the solicitor obliged to make payments to the 3 residuary beneficiaries promptly and more or less simultaneously? (Or do we each have to ask the solicitor for our own payment?)
Are there any circumstances in which the solicitor can withhold payments once the Final Accounts have all been signed off?
