Ppi reclaiming question

mardi 3 mars 2015

Hello everyone

I am new here and thanks to your advice I have recently have successfully reclaimed against mbna and Halifax but at the moment I have been rejected by barclycard and citi card. Both cards where taken out in 2003, barclycard are saying it was a postal application so I ticked the box so it was a non advised sell and citi card are saying saying even though there are flaws in there selling techniques the policy was suitable so they are not paying out. My argument is that they never made ppi optional to me or explained any costs. I took out a mortgage on a flat back in 2002 where my broker clearly explained ppi and I refused so why would I refuse ppi on my flat but want ppi on small credit cards. My question is that at time of sale of ppi on those cards during 2003 I had about 20 thousand in equity on the flat, can I use this reason of how I would pay if I had lost work/are fallen ill? I really didn't need ppi as they where easily cleared by drawing money against the property if I needed too.
