Formal Grievance

jeudi 5 mars 2015

Hello,

I have recently resigned from a job where I was for just two months. It basically became unbearable to work there as the Director was impossible to deal with and a massive bully.

I sent her a resignation letter stating that I wasn't returning to work and explained how I felt singled out, humiliated and bullied by her.

Two days later she replies and says that she accepts my resignation effective immediate, so I don't have to give any notice.

She also says that she is treating this as a formal grievance even though I don't work there anymore and asks me to write a formal letter with my complaint.

Well, I just want to get rid of her! I don't want any formal grievances because I'm just glad I was able to put it all behind me. Plus, she can't simply decide to treat this as a grievance if I all I did was write a resignation letter, right?

What should I say?

I appreciate your help.

Many thanks,

Ines
