Cabot Court claim Lloyds credit card

lundi 23 mars 2015

Hello,

Please can you give me some advice.

I have received a claim from Cabot for £14,876.02 from a credit card obtained in 2003.

During 2004 I was working abroad and made a late payment. Lloyds passed the debt to a collection agency (not Cabot) and I was given a default on my credit account.

I contacted the Citizens Advice Bureau who negotiated a repayment schedule with this company and they agreed at the time to freeze all interest. I continued to make payments until 18 months ago when I was told in the Lloyds branch that my account was "dead".

The debt has obviously been sold on various times.

I have acknowledged the claim via the MoneyClaim site, but the 28 day period ends this Friday 27th March.

I think I have to complete the part admission N8 and N9 form, but I think I am entitled to request a breakdown of how they have arrived at this figure as I think a lot of interest has been added. Also they need to show the payments I have made.

1. Can you please tell me exactly which (standard) letters I should be sending and to whom, to get this information?

2. Since this will take longer than a few days, do I send the court form back (incomplete) in the mean time?

Please help - I am getting very stressed!

Thank you in advance
